The University of Texas at El Paso
The University of Texas at El Paso--the first branch of the University of Texas system was founded in 1914. Located in one of the largest binational communities in the world, UTEP is unique among research universities. More than 22,740 students are enrolled at UTEP, and that number continues to increase each year. UTEP offers a broad array of degree programs--70 bachelor’s, 75 master’s, and 19 doctoral degrees taught by outstanding faculty who have been nationally recognized for their commitment to student success. Compared to all other public research institutions in the U.S., an undergraduate degree from UTEP is a great value. Full-time UTEP undergraduates incur the lowest out-of-pocket cost or “net price” for their degrees. As UTEP approaches its 100th birthday in 2014, it remains committed to its mission of providing students access to excellent academic programs.
